D Custom Welcomes a New Director of Digital Media Strategy

D Custom welcomes Melissa Chowning, our new director of digital media strategy.

Melissa is our resident expert in all things related to digital and account-based marketing. She aims to maximize the potential of the strong content D Custom publishes for leading B2B and B2C client brands.

With 12 years of industry experience, Melissa was previously marketing manager at Republic Media; director of audience development at SagaCity Media; and, most recently, director of audience development at D Magazine. There, she focused on growing, engaging, and retaining D Magazine audiences across every platform including print, online, email, social media, and events. 

Last year, she was named an Up-and-Coming Trailblazer by Folio as a part of the Folio: 100 awards, honoring the 100 most important people in magazine media.

The Northern California native received a degree in communications from the University of North Texas and has lived in Dallas for the past five years.
