Around our parts, alumni of Texas A&M are known for their fervent allegiance to their university. So we jumped at the opportunity to help The Association of Former Students of Texas A&M University deliver the kind of community its membership craves. The organization sought to better serve its mission of building and maintaining connections between alumni and the school. As the membership had grown and changed, the organization needed to adapt with it.
Our initial discovery and strategy session revealed the value the membership placed on the organization’s official publication, Texas Aggie, but that it needed an update. We also found an opportunity to increase the engagement across media with a new approach to digital content offerings.
We gave the magazine a facelift, creating a design that employed strategic choices to accommodate a wide variety of content types. Our award-winning design team kept things simple, using the traditional Aggie colors to emphasize the real-life stories and opportunities to stay connected with the university. On top of that, we consulted on a revamped email marketing effort to increase digital engagement. The well-received redesign accomplished what it sought out to do, and even took home a few awards to boot.
