Who doesn’t love a home makeover? In the paint and wallpaper business, you want to make a bold statement, but not by clashing with the background. Texas Paint and Wallpaper wanted to set itself apart from its competitors with a redesigned website, broaden its reach with new ways to drive site traffic, and maximize the impact of its marketing efforts by better understanding and catering to specific customer needs.
The new site also needed to reach its vast clientele: from homeowners looking for design ideas or a recommended paint contractor; to designers who require supplies, inspiration, or contractors for their own use; to longtime contractor clients who have been doing business with the Texas Paint family for years. A tall order, indeed.
Texas Paint and Wallpaper helps customers make their homes and businesses beautiful, so we wanted to help make their brand beautiful, too, with a new brand strategy and website redesign. We took Texas Paint through a full brand strategy workshop, helping identify a strong voice and tone and finding areas to expand its customer base. This brand strategy lent itself to a new set of brand guidelines, including an updated look and feel with a logo redesign.
The project culminated in a new website featuring content created to appeal to Texas Paint’s three different buyer personas. We generated homepage user paths for each audience (paint contractors, trade professionals, and homeowners) using vibrant and colorful visuals that convey friendliness, approachability, and a keen eye for design. The website won a Communicator Award for Website — Visual Appeal.
