Editorial Intern

Content may be king, but we made content before it was a thing. Blogs, social media, podcasts, video, magazines — you name it. D Custom, an award-winning content marketing agency, is in need of a detail-oriented, energetic editorial intern. You’ll play a key role in producing a variety of content for a client base consisting of major global brands. If you’re looking to hone your editorial skills in pioneering ways across new media, this is the place to do it. Innovation, fresh approaches, and consistently upending the status quo define our work. Through this internship, you will learn the cutting edge of content creation and brand marketing, as well as old-school writing and editing skills. You’ll be a critical part of a hard-working team fueled by snacks and caffeine — and end up with some great samples of work to add to your portfolio.

Daily responsibilities include brainstorming, writing, editing, research, proofreading, and fact-checking. Projects will include execution and implementation of digital programs and management of editorial initiatives. The intern will have the opportunity to write clips for use in portfolios.

1. Develop a strong, varied collection of clips across digital and print media for future use.

2. Acquire a working knowledge of current best practices, cutting-edge trends, and uses of content marketing to put toward potential employment. 

3. Greatly strengthen writing and editing skills through practice and constructive feedback. 

As a part of the D Magazine Partners Internship Program candidates must be available to work a minimum of 12 hours a week and commit to the full term of the semester. The D Magazine Partners Internship program is unpaid.
